One morning, I got a call to join a 600-mile sailing expedition across the Banda Sea. With my friend Buby visiting Bali, it felt like the perfect answer to our shared desire for a meaningful experience.
What we lived was beyond words: night watches under wild waves, volcanic islands, whales breaching before our eyes, snorkeling with sharks, sea snakes, thousands of fish, and the most beautiful coral I’ve ever seen.
The highlight? Diving into a remote blue lagoon above a submerged mountain 3,000 meters deep, covered in coral. It was pure magic, like touching the pulse of the planet.
Moments like these dissolve all fear and noise. You return home with an expanded heart and a renewed soul. A reminder of the ocean’s delicate balance.
Without realizing it, I ended up with the perfect crew: Diego’s passion and energy, Hanno’s quiet humor and love for sailing, Denny’s dedication to the sea, and Buby—my dear friend and talented cook—who brought warmth and joy to every meal.
This journey taught me that when we say yes, life gives us adventure, growth, and soul-stirring wonder.
Buby - This was one of the most freeing and daring experiences I’ve ever lived. I disconnected from the internet to be fully present—right there, in the middle of the sea.
Water has a way of teaching and cleansing, reconnecting me deeply with my emotions and constantly challenging me.
We sailed 600 miles from Kupang to the Maluku Islands aboard the Lola2 with my dear China Carracedo and an incredible crew. I never knew I could embrace uncertainty like that.
This journey reminded me of who I truly am—beyond the stories we tell ourselves.

You’ll need to fly into Sorong (SOQ), usually via Jakarta or Bali. We’ll help guide you through booking your flights and coordinate your pickup at the airport

You’ll be staying aboard Lola2, a spacious 44-foot luxury catamaran designed for both comfort and connection with the sea. Each guest sleeps in a private double cabin with an en-suite bathroom, allowing for a cozy and immersive ocean experience.
Please note: all cabins feature a shared double bed. If you're coming with a partner or a friend, you’ll receive a special duo discount. While cabins are shared, the boat offers plenty of room to find quiet moments and your own space throughout the journey.

Not at all! All levels are welcome. Whether it’s your first time on a boat or you’re already an experienced waterwoman, this journey is designed for everyone.
Living aboard for 10 days naturally turns us into a sea-bound family, where everyone plays a part. If you're curious about sailing, you'll have the chance to learn the basics and get involved in the rhythm of life at sea—hoisting sails, reading winds, and understanding how we navigate these wild waters. Participation is part of the experience, and it’s all guided and supported by our experienced crew.

VISA ON ARRIVAL FEE : TYPICALLY HANDLED AT THE AIRPORT the cost is aprox. 30 usd.
CAMERA / PHOTOGRAPHIC EQUIPMENT: Bringing your own gear is highly recommended so you can fully dive into the creative workshops. However, if you don’t own a professional camera, no worries — you can still participate using a GoPro or your smartphone with a waterproof case rated for depths of 10 meters or more. Sharing gear with fellow participants may also be possible, depending on availability and interest.
